You can make daily excursions by car or rail from Offenburg to other worthwhile destinations right in our vicinity. For example, tours are provided of Baden's "Wine Road" or along the Black Forest High Road. In the Kinzig Valley, which begins directly behind Offenburg, your can view the famous traditional Black Forest women's hats and other traditional attire (Black Forest Traditional Dress Museum, Hastach, 35 km). The glass blowers in the Black Forest Glass Hut in Wolfach (40 km) will show you how artistic glass is blown and polished. The Vogtsbauernhof Open-Air Museum (Gutach, 40 km) is located in one of the Black Forest's most beautiful valleys. There you can view some particularly old examples of the typical Black Forest farmhouse. Families can also enjoy themselves in one of Germany's largest amusement parks, the Europa-Park in Rust (35 km). On the other side of the Rhine, the Alsace entices, in particular with its European municipality, Strasbourg (25 km). Additionally, a tour is also provided along the Alsatian "Wine Road", along which the most beautiful Alsatian villages and castles are located.
