In the Black Forest a great number of different rural traditional costumes developed in former times. The individual traditional costumes appeared everywhere in the 18th century and were generally worn in all rural areas up to the end of the 19th century. In the Black Forest Museum of Traditional Costumes the traditional costumes are exhibited in their original forms. Elaborately made parts of the costumes are exhibited and described separately. Contem porary prints give an insight into the development of traditional costumes. The exhibition is completed by objects from the field of life of the rural population.

For the way back take the same road as described above. For a visit to the Black Forest Museum of Traditional Costumes you should have about 3 hours' time including the way there and back.
