From the Town Hall (Baroque building from 1741) walk east through the pedestrian zone (Fish Market: Lion's Fountain, 1599; Hirsch Pharmacy; St. Andreas Church) to Lindenplatz (Narrenbrunnen «Fool's Fountain» 1964), cross the railway and walk straight on through Friedenstrasse (Trinity Church, Romanesque basilica, 1906 to 1908, to the left). Cross Moltkestrasse and turn left behind the Trade School at the old cemetary (Jewish graves); walk on to the forest brook, turn right there and follow the brook parallel to the "Ortenau Wine Path" (symbol: blue grape on red rhombus), until you reach Zell-Weierbach. Pass the Abtsberg Hall on the right and walk up to the panorama path with picnic area in the vineyards, turn right there and walk down to the village quarter of "Riedle". Turn to the left at Talstrasse and walk up the hill past the carpark for hikers "Riedle" to the picnic area and playground "Fritscheneck" (550 m). Then follow the tower path to the "Brandeckturm" (693 m). When visibility is good you will have a magnificent view from this look-out tower over the Rhine valley, the Vosges and the mountains of the Black Forest from the "Hornisgrinde" in the north to the "Kandel" in the south. For your way back walk down in north-eastern direction and turn left after about 250 m to the "Heidenmauer" (Absalom's Grave); turn halfright to the "Zeller Brunnen", pass between the fountain and the hut and walk on to the "Heidenknie" (515 m). From there to the edge of the wood, where you reach the "Ortenau Wine Path" again. Follow this path to "Wolfsgrube" (riflemen's clubhouse with deer park); from there into the direction of "Schönstattkapelle" and then via the "Weinlehrpfad" (demonstration path on vine-growing) of Rammersweier to the bifurcation "Mini-golf course" down to the centre of Rammersweier.
Turn right there and walk on until you reach the bifurcation "Festhalle". Turn to the left there and walk up to "Lindenhöhe". On the hill turn right, pass the little lookout tower on the left and then walk down "Laubengasse" to the road. Turn left there and you will soon reach the forest brook again. From there the way leads you back to the town centre.
